20 Fall Work Outfits for Women That Are Easy to Copy
I always find getting dressed for work a bit easier once fall comes around. You can start adding layers again, bring out the blazers and knits, and somehow even a really simple outfit feels a bit more put together.
These fall work outfits are a mix of smarter looks and more relaxed business casual ideas, so there should be something here whether you work in a fairly formal office or somewhere you can get away with jeans and a blazer. I’ve tried to stick to outfits that are actually wearable too, rather than anything that looks great in a photo but would be a pain to sit at a desk in all day.
There are lots of the usual fall colors in here – camel, burgundy, chocolate brown, olive, cream and black – along with trousers, skirts, dresses, boots and plenty of layers. Hopefully you’ll find a few combinations you can recreate with things you already have in your wardrobe.
1. Camel Blazer, Black Trousers and White Tee

This is such an easy one to put together but it still looks really smart. The camel blazer adds a bit of warmth for fall, while the black trousers and simple white tee keep it classic and really easy to wear.
2. Burgundy Sweater with Wide-Leg Trousers

Burgundy is such a lovely color for fall and it works really well with a pair of neutral wide-leg trousers. Add some simple flats or loafers and you’ve got an easy work outfit that still feels really put together.
3. Black Midi Dress with a Camel Blazer

A black midi dress is one of those things you can wear again and again, and adding a camel blazer makes it feel much more autumnal. I’d finish this one off with ankle boots for an easy outfit that works really well for the office.
4. Striped Knit with Tailored Trousers

A striped knit is an easy way to make plain tailored trousers feel a bit more interesting without going over the top. It’s one of those simple combinations that looks put together but doesn’t feel like you’ve tried too hard.
5. Satin Midi Skirt with a Cream Knit

I love the mix of a satin skirt with a cozy knit for fall, especially for work when you want something a little smarter. The cream keeps it nice and neutral too, so it’s an easy outfit to put together without having to think too much about it.
6. Navy Blazer with Dark Jeans

If you can wear jeans to work, this is such an easy fall outfit to throw together. Dark denim keeps it looking smart enough for the office, and the navy blazer just makes the whole thing feel a bit more polished.
7. Monochrome Chocolate Brown Outfit

I’m loving chocolate brown for fall and this is such an easy way to wear it. Just mix a couple of slightly different shades together and you’ve got a really simple work outfit that still looks good.
8. Pleated Midi Skirt with a Fitted Sweater

A pleated midi skirt is a nice change when you’ve been living in trousers for work. Pair it with a simple fitted sweater and it’s an easy fall outfit that feels smart without being too dressy.
9. Grey Trousers with a Burgundy Cardigan

Grey trousers are such an easy workwear staple, and I love them with burgundy for fall. A simple cardigan adds a bit of color and makes the whole outfit feel a little less boring.
10. Trench Coat with Black Ankle Trousers

This is a really easy one for those cooler fall mornings when you need an extra layer. Black ankle trousers go with pretty much anything, and throwing a trench coat over the top instantly makes the outfit look a bit smarter.
11. Belted Sweater Dress with Knee-High Boots

A sweater dress is perfect for those mornings when you really can’t be bothered figuring out what goes with what. Add a belt to give it a bit of shape and it’s a really easy fall work outfit that still looks like you’ve made an effort.
12. Plaid Blazer with Black Trousers

A plaid blazer just feels right for fall and it’s an easy way to make plain black trousers a bit more interesting. Keep the rest of the outfit simple and you’ve got something that works for pretty much any day in the office.
13. White Shirt with Camel Wide-Leg Trousers

I really like this combination for fall because it’s so simple but still looks smart. The camel trousers add a bit of warmth to a basic white shirt and make the whole outfit feel a little less plain.
14. Black Turtleneck with an Olive Midi Skirt

Black and olive always work really well together for fall and I love this combination for the office. The turtleneck keeps it simple and the olive skirt adds a bit of color without being too much.
15. Midi Dress with a Cropped Cardigan

This is such an easy one for fall when you want to wear a dress but need an extra layer. I like the cropped cardigan with a midi dress because it gives you a bit of warmth without hiding the whole dress underneath it.
16. Olive Trousers with a Cream Knit

I really like olive for fall and it looks so good with a simple cream sweater. It’s an easy combination for work when you want something a little different from the usual black or gray trousers.
17. Grey Blazer with an All-Black Outfit

I love an all-black outfit for work, but adding a gray blazer stops it from feeling quite so plain. It’s really simple, looks smart and is an easy one to pull together when you’re in a rush.
18. Burgundy Trousers with an Ivory Blouse

Burgundy pants are a nice way to add some fall color without going too bold. I really like them with an ivory blouse too, as it keeps the whole outfit looking light and simple.
19. Black Midi Skirt with a Camel Sweater

This is such a simple fall combination and you might already have both pieces in your closet. I love the camel sweater with a black skirt because it adds a bit of warmth without making the outfit feel too dressy.
20. Navy Wide-Leg Trousers with a Cream Cardigan

Navy and cream is such an easy combination for work and it makes a nice change from black. The wide-leg pants keep it feeling a bit more current, while the cardigan makes it perfect for those cooler fall days.
Hopefully these fall work outfits have given you a few new ideas for what to wear to the office this season. A lot of them use really simple pieces too, so you might be able to put together similar looks with things you already have in your closet.
Fall is definitely one of my favorite times of year for getting dressed, especially once the sweaters, blazers and layers come back out. Even just adding a few fall colors can make your usual work outfits feel a bit different.
