  • I warmed the water up really hot but not boiling. If you decide to boil the water please take all safety precautions to make sure you don’t get burned.
  • If you have a tiny heart cutter you can use that to cut out more hearts from the chocolate left over on the board.

You can repeat the process with all your left over chocolate for more hearts.  Just gather all the left over chocolate, remelt it on the parchment paper, put it in the fridge to solid and cut more hearts out with the warm cookie cutter.

How to Store Leftovers

Room Temperature: Store the bark in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days. Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or heat sources to prevent melting.

Refrigeration: If your kitchen is warm or humid, place the bark in a sealed container and refrigerate it. This will keep it fresh and firm for up to 2 weeks.

Freezing: For longer storage, freeze the bark in a freezer-safe container or resealable bag. Place wax paper or parchment between layers to prevent sticking. They can be placed in the freezer for 2 weeks but be warned  the pretzel texture may change when they come to room temperature.

Avoid Moisture: Ensure the container is fully sealed to avoid moisture exposure, which can affect the texture and flavor of the chocolate.

Bring to Room Temperature Before Serving: If frozen or refrigerated, let the bark sit at room temperature for 10–15 minutes before serving to ensure the best texture and flavor.
