Cheesy Pizza Bagel Bombs with Pepperoni and Mozzarella
I have to tell you, these Cheesy Pizza Bagel Bombs with Pepperoni and Mozzarella are one of the most fun recipes I’ve made in a while! They’re basically little pockets of pizza wrapped up in fluffy, golden bagel dough. Every bite is filled with gooey melted mozzarella, zesty pizza sauce, and pepperoni, and honestly, they taste like something you’d get at a pizzeria, only they’re homemade and even better.
What I really love about these bagel bombs is how versatile they are. They’re the perfect grab-and-go snack for busy afternoons, a great lunchbox surprise for the kids, or a fun appetizer for game night. My crew absolutely lights up when I pull a tray of these out of the oven, and I’ll admit, I usually have to snag one fast before they all disappear. They’re that good.
And don’t worry, making them is way easier than it looks. The dough comes together with just two main ingredients, and the filling is as simple as layering your favorite pizza flavors inside. Once they’re baked, you’ve got these warm, golden, cheesy bites that are impossible to resist. Trust me, once you try them, you’ll be adding these bagel bombs to your regular rotation!

Ingredients
Bagel Dough:
-
1 ½ cups self-rising flour – this is the base of the dough and keeps things light and fluffy.
-
1 cup plain Greek yogurt (full fat works best) – adds tang, richness, and helps the dough come together without yeast.
-
¼ tsp oregano – brings that classic pizza flavor right into the dough.
-
¼ tsp garlic powder + pinch of salt – a little seasoning to make every bite more flavorful.
Pizza Filling:
-
1 cup pepperoni slices (chopped or whole) – for that classic, savory pizza bite we all love.
-
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese – melts into gooey perfection inside each bagel bomb.
-
½ cup pizza sauce – ties everything together with rich, tangy tomato flavor.

1. In a large bowl, mix the Greek yogurt, self-rising flour and seasonings together.

2. Stir with a spoon or spatula until it forms a shaggy dough.
3. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and slightly sticky.
4. If too sticky, add a tiny bit more flour; if too dry, a small splash of yogurt or water.
5. Let it rest while you prepare the filling (or start filling immediately).

Assembly & Baking:
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Divide the dough into 8-10 equal pieces.

3. Flatten each piece into a small disc (about 3-4 inches in diameter).

4. Spoon about 1-2 tsp pizza sauce in the center, then add some cheese and a few pepperoni slices.

5. Carefully pull the edges of the dough up around the filling, pinching and sealing the dough fully to make a ball.

6. Place each stuffed ball seam-side down on the baking sheet.

7. Brush the tops with either melted butter or beaten egg for a golden finish.

8. Sprinkle bagel seasoning (everything bagel seasoning or your favorite mix) on top.

9. Bake for about 18-22 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.

10. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Tips & Tricks for Perfect Pizza Bagel Bombs
-
Don’t overfill them. I know it’s tempting to pile on the cheese, but too much filling will make them burst open in the oven.
-
Make sure to pinch and seal the dough really well; otherwise, the sauce and cheese will try to sneak out while baking.
-
Brushing the tops with butter or egg wash makes them beautifully golden and gives that irresistible bakery-style finish.
-
A sprinkle of everything bagel seasoning on top takes these to the next level. Seriously, it’s a game changer.
-
If your dough feels too sticky, just dust your hands and surface with a little extra flour. A tiny bit goes a long way.
-
Let them cool for a few minutes before biting in, that molten cheese will get you if you rush it!

Serving
-
These make the ultimate party snack! Pile them high on a platter and watch them disappear in minutes.
-
I love serving them with little bowls of warm pizza sauce or ranch on the side for dipping.
-
They’re just the right size for lunchboxes. My kids are always thrilled to find one tucked in as a surprise.
-
Pair a few with a simple side salad and you’ve got yourself a quick and cozy weeknight dinner.
-
They’re also a total win for game day — soft, cheesy, and handheld, so no one has to miss a play.

Storing & Reheating
-
If you’ve got leftovers (which honestly doesn’t happen often around here!), keep them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
-
To reheat, just pop them back in the oven at 350°F for about 8–10 minutes, they’ll crisp up nicely on the outside again.
-
The microwave works in a pinch, but the dough stays fluffier and the cheese gooier when reheated in the oven or toaster oven.
-
These also freeze really well! Let them cool completely, then wrap each one tightly and stash them in a freezer bag.
-
When you’re ready to enjoy, bake straight from frozen at 350°F for 12–15 minutes until heated through.
