As a child, I remember my parents drinking Cherry B Wine on special occasions. Along with Babycham and Snowballs, it was a drink I longed to try when I was old enough.
What is Cherry B Wine?
Cherry B is an alcoholic drink made by Accolade Wines. As far as our research tells us, it has been sold in the United Kingdom since the 1950s.
Cherry B is a British cherry wine sold in small bottles. It is 11.5% alcohol and can be served either on its own or mixed with lemonade. I prefer it mixed with lemonade, I love the fizzy flavour!

Thankfully, if you’re a fan of Cherry B, you’ll be pleased to learn that you can still buy it today.
It’s usually sold in 200ml bottles, perfect for one serving of this classic drink.
When to drink Cherry B
Of course, you can enjoy a glass of Cherry B whenever the feeling takes you, but I always think that certain drinks are best enjoyed with specific foods or on certain occasions.
As this drink has quite a strong taste, you might like to drink it either after a meal, or with a fairly bland meal so that you don’t get overpowered by conflicting strong tastes.
In our house, the Cherry B drink would always come out at Christmas, usually on Christmas Eve when we would have family over for a few drinks and games before the big day.
