Ingredients
- 16 oz. Frozen mango: This sweet and tangy frozen mango forms the base of the Mangonada, giving it a smooth and fruity texture.
- 12 oz. Mango nectar: The mango nectar enhances the tropical flavor, making the drink even more refreshing and flavorful.
- 1 Cup Ice: Ice adds the perfect chill and thickness to the Mangonada, ensuring it’s a cool treat on a hot day.
- 1 Lime, juiced: A squeeze of lime juice adds a zesty kick that balances out the sweetness of the mango and the chamoy.
- 3 tbsp Chamoy sauce: Chamoy sauce brings a tangy, spicy, and slightly sour element that pairs wonderfully with the sweetness of the mango.
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar: A touch of sugar enhances the natural sweetness of the mango while making the drink feel indulgent.
- 2 tbsp tajin seasoning: Tajin seasoning adds a vibrant mix of chili, lime, and salt to elevate the flavor and give it that signature kick.

Tips & Tricks for the Perfect Mangonada
-
Use High-Quality Mangoes: For the best flavor, try to use ripe frozen mango chunks. If fresh mango is available, you can freeze your own for an even fresher taste!
-
Adjust Sweetness: If you prefer a sweeter drink, you can increase the amount of sugar or even add a little honey. Conversely, if you prefer it less sweet, feel free to reduce the sugar or skip it altogether.
-
Play with Ice: If you want a thicker, more sorbet-like consistency, use less ice. For a more liquid drink, add extra ice or use less mango nectar.
-
Make It Spicy: If you love heat, feel free to add extra tajin inside the drink or even a dash of hot sauce to the rim for an extra kick.
-
Customize Garnishes: Beyond tamarind sticks, you can garnish with fresh mango slices, lime wedges, or even a few extra drizzles of chamoy for added flavor and visual appeal.
-
Blend Well: Blend your ingredients until they’re fully smooth for the best texture. If it’s not blending well, add a bit more mango nectar or a splash of water to loosen it up.
-
Chill Your Glasses: For an extra refreshing touch, place your glasses in the freezer for a few minutes before serving. This will keep your Mangonada cold longer.
-
Experiment with Other Fruits: While mango is the star here, you can also mix in other fruits like pineapple or passion fruit for a unique twist on the classic recipe.
